Emotional night...

I had study group for 3 hours today so after dinner, I decided to watch a movie and A Walk To Remember sounded good. I basically cried my eyes out, but it was a good cry. That movie will do it to you though! After it was over, I couldn't stop crying. Its so frustrating to think about how over half of the world lives in disesase and poverty while we're here in American living the high road. It sucks to think that you are just an ant in the bigger scheme of things. I feel like I should be doing something for the world right now, but I have to realize that this is my time to get my degree and then I can do whatever I want with it. I'm really glad that my major is within the health field because I can go so many different directions with that. I was given the opportunity to go to college and get a degree to help people, so I have to continue with that. This summer, I'm going to work, volunteer somewhere and take a class. Right now is my time to do the whole Davis thing but this summer I want to do things that I don't get to do here. That's about it for now....see you both soon!!!

Update on my weekend....

Friday night I went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with a random group....Katie, Chanel, Andrea Alder, Katy Ryan, Kelly, Andrea's friend Charisse and I all went...Humboldt/Sac Crew! Katy picked me up, she goes to Davis but we have never met before, so the car ride over was a tiny bit awkward at first. Conversation went fine but it was just kinda weird being with someone for 20 minutes...actually an hour bc we hit traffic...you have never met before. Dinner was fun and I was worried that we all wouldn't have stuff to talk about, but we all did fine and talked about everything and anything. We learned that Charisse is one of 12 siblings...and her dad has 7 other kids! Our waiter's name was Zenacious and had a twin named Tenacious...he loved us, especially Kelly. Katie and Chanel didn't want to come ice skating with us so we split up. We all got into Andrea's car to drive over to Kelly's across the parking lot...Katy and I didn't have seat belts on bc we crammed in and we were dancing and singing and then all of a sudden, this cop on a motorcycle was pulling us over! We were flipping out and pulled the seat belts on sort of and he was just wondering how many people we had in the back, 3 was allowed, and so he let us go...heart attack! The Vacaville ice skating rink was closed so we got directions to the downtown Sacramento one. We finally get to the address that the lady told us and there was no rink in sight...so we drove around for about 20 minutes till we finally found it at 9:30. We got over there and it didn't close till 10, but they wouldn't let us skate!! We were so bummed but took a pic in front of the rink anyways..haha. So we were already in Sacramento and it was 9:30...so we decided to go to the club! We all had on our winter outfits, sweaters, scarfs, puffy jackets-not club attire. So we strip down and wear the tanktops we have on underneath....we definately represented Humboldt that night! The club was really fun....danced with "usher" and had fun with the new girlies!! So since I was wearing a sweater and its been cold, and I'm Angela, I had hairy armpits but I was wearing a tanktop! So I couldn't really lift up my arms so that was a challenge for me! It was just really nice to hang out with girls who you "knew of" but had never met before.
