March Already

How the heck is it March 1 already? Time is flying by and this quarter is almost over! This quarter has been crazy but amazing at the same time. I'm not dancing and have more time to focus on classes, even though I'm still worked a lot and interning. My internship is amazing and I hope I can do it again next quarter. I'm working in the Metabolic Kitchen at a USDA funded Nutrition Research Center on my campus....amazing experience not to mention hopefully an amazing recommendation letter?

Last night I performed with my dance group at the 25 year Anniversary reception for my best friend on the team. It was a full on reception! The food was good and I'm sure the cake was too...although I didn't get to eat it since I gave up all sweets for lent. I am dyinggggg without my daily overdose of sugar but I know this is good for me..but it is hard!

School is rough, midterms are over and finals are only in a few weeks! Also....my 21st birthday is comingggg...so excited! It is the weekend before finals, which is horrible timing, but then I get to go to Disneyland with my family for spring break!!!

Here are some pics from last night:

After I got back into town, I stopped by Chris' house to say hi and he was all dressed up from a birthday dinner....even though we didn't go out together, we look cute!

Ice Skating

I have been HORRIBLE about posting on here, not that anyone even really reads it anyways! Xmas was good, New Years fun..and school has started up again! I'm not dancing this quarter because once again I have 8am classes EVERY DAY, working about 18 hours a week and studying! It's nice to have a break and be getting to sleep at a decent hour each night, but I do miss all my friends and dancing a lot. Sunday was my 6 months with Chris but we celebrated Saturday with a girl I dance with and her boyfriend.

First, we went ice skating in Vacaville. Ericka used to figure skate when she was little so she was definitely showing all of us up! It was supppppper scary at first but then I got the hang of it after a few painful falls! Afterwards we went to BJ's Brewery for dinner...I made the mistake of ordering a salad instead of a delicious pasta but we all shared so it was okay. Then we played Blokus (an amazzzzing game, kinda like Tetris) and then watched Love Actually! Things with Chris and I are super good, except for the fact that we are super busy but luckily we can budget our time well!

Veteran's day

Yesterday was such a fun and relaxing day! Adrienne, Steve and Mason drove up to Davis for lunch and took Chris and I out. Even though I saw my family this past weekend, I always want to see them more and more! We went out to this burger joint called Habit Burger...so so so good. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with LOTS of BBQ sauce and I think this place is my new favorite. Afterwards we were super full but walked over to Yogurt Shack and got frozen yogurt...and I got a little bit too much. Mason is walking now so it was good to see him take his little steps...as well as throw some tantrums..haha.

I had majorrrr food coma after all of that but I wanted to watch a movie, rather than study, so Chris and I watched Crash. I always fall asleep when watching movies at home and we started to watch it like a month ago but I fell asleep, and I stayed awake the whole time this time! Haha...I really like that movie and it is pretty surprising that prejudices like that still exist. Afterwards I took a 2 hour nap and then finally studied. My dinner was two chocolate chip cookies that my sister brought me...healthy day huh?

I will post pictures when I get home from school...: )

Ok ok ok

I am really bad at posting blogs lately! I think I was better at it during summer because....I wasn't in school! Now that school and dance have started again, I feel extremely busy and feel like the days just fly by. Not only am I taking 15 units, but I am dancing again, working as a Peer Advisor still and interning at the Health Education Council. I apologize for my laziness but seriously, there is always facebook!

Boy update: Chris and I are doing GREAT! It's only been 3 months but we are doing so so so good. When we first got together, we had a few bumps in the road, mainly because I have a strong personality and he is passive, and because he's never had a serious girlfriend before! It has taken some getting used to, and we really have a lot of differences....but opposites attract, right?! I am super happy with him and thankfully our busy schedules don't keep us too distant, we even have a class together! All in all...I'm happy.

Here are some random pics from the beginning of the year...

The Boy

Not much to update on....but I am super duper happy with Chris. I can't wait for him to be done with summer school so we can go do stuff! We are trying to go to Six Flags on Saturday with my friend Shara and her boyfriend...but they aren't sure yet so we'll see about that. Where is the spontaneity and adventure in people these days!?! : )

Humboldt County

I hadn't been home to Humboldt since Christmas....but 8 months later I finally got to go home! Adrienne was supposed to come home with me but since Caleb came early, she decided to stay home and spend time with them. I was super disappointed that she didn't come home with me cause we had our entire week planned out! Even though my sister wasn't there with me, I still had a great time. I spent lots of time with my close friends from high school, Adam and the twins. Randomly I got a text message from a girl I dance with and she said she was driving through Humboldt on her way to Oregon...random!!! The food in Humboldt is amazing...and I ate at all my favorites, some even a few times....Los Bagels, Tomo, Carmela's, Live from New York and I tried the new crepe place. Humboldt was a great place to grow up in...but honestly I can't picture moving back there because the people and just life in general is such a much slower pace. Right now...I'm very happy in Davis!

Caleb Is Here!

After a long day of boating with my dad, Chris and my friend Anna we got news that Amy was in labor, 3 weeks early! I was completely shocked but we packed as fast as we could and headed to the bay area to meet up with the family. At 3 in the morning, we learned that Caleb was born and I was an auntie again! Although we couldn't see him right away, it still felt amazing to know that he was finally here! It's crazy to see the size difference between Mason and Caleb...but they are both amazing nephews.

Life back in Davis is great! Jeanette is back in town so now the little trio is reunited, Jeanette, Ferdilyn and I! I helped Jeanette move in this week and all 3 of us have started a workout plan! We are sooooooooo sore! Not only did we start working out regularly but we had two dance workshops this week so we are EXTRA sore. But....it feels amazing! So happy to have one of my best friends back in Davis...it was a lonely summer without her! Chris and I are doing great...he makes me laugh all the time and we have tons of fun together. We have a class together in Fall quarter so I'm a little nervous about that...but it should be fine!!

The Many Faces of Mason

Just in that short trip I took for Garrett's Birthday, I got some hilarious pictures of Mason!!! I love him so much!

Garrett is 27!

Last Thursday I went to the bay area to surprise Garrett for his birthday!!! All the siblings went out to a British Pub for dinner and then Coldstone for dessert...we were SOOOOO full afterwads! I love my siblings more than anything and I am so thankful that we live so close to each other and that we are such a close family! : )

Summer Modern?

There was supposed to be a summer MK Modern group that just did some dance workshops....has this happened yet? NO!! Instead we just party together and eat together...so here are some random pictures of me and my lovely asian friends! haha
