The Many Faces of Mason

Just in that short trip I took for Garrett's Birthday, I got some hilarious pictures of Mason!!! I love him so much!

Garrett is 27!

Last Thursday I went to the bay area to surprise Garrett for his birthday!!! All the siblings went out to a British Pub for dinner and then Coldstone for dessert...we were SOOOOO full afterwads! I love my siblings more than anything and I am so thankful that we live so close to each other and that we are such a close family! : )

Summer Modern?

There was supposed to be a summer MK Modern group that just did some dance workshops....has this happened yet? NO!! Instead we just party together and eat together...so here are some random pictures of me and my lovely asian friends! haha

One Year Later

Last weekend was Mason's first birthday party!! It was so much fun, but also a lot of work. I was in charge of the cupcakes and his personal cake...and I made the cakes and frostings from scratch! Mason is such an adorable boy and is turning into such a toddler. He got a few walking toys so hopefully he will be walking around next time I get to go visit!








Once I got back to Davis, I went to hang out with two of my best friends in Davis: Anna and Jackie!!! Jackie was home in LA for the beginning of the summer so it was nice to finally get to see her...these girls are such sweethearts and I LOVE them! We ate an entire pot of rice krispie treats...: )

Mommy Time

Around 6pm on Thursday I get a call from my sister, asking me if I can come to the bay this weekend to help with Mason. Steve got a call from his doctor saying he needed to go into surgery Friday for his ongoing problem with his heel...so I came to the rescue to help in any way I could!! During the days, Mason and I headed over to Garrett & Amy's house to hang out and then at night went back to Adrienne's to sleep. I was Mason's roommate for Friday and Saturday night...and I learned what it was like to not sleep! He woke up a few times during the night and with a little bit of work, he went back to sleep...today he woke up at 6am and was ready to play!!!! Let's just say I'm a little tired but I loved every minute of it...when else am I going to get that much time with him?!







Also....Chris and I are together!!! It's only been a week but things are greaaaaaaaat! Here is a picture...though I don't look the best...

The Drought Is Over

His name is Chris. He is 21 and a pre-optometry major. He can give and take sarcasm. He has great manners. He is silly.

So he is the new guy! He is Seyi's friend and I met him during a class in winter quarter. He was quite rude to me then because he thought I was with Seyi and didn't want to screw that up....but that obviously wasn't the case! So we started talking as friends and went to the movies in a group. I saw that he has a really nice side and was pleasantly surprised! So we hung out Friday and Saturday night and I haven't had that much fun in a realllllllly long time with a guy. Laughter is the key to my heart and he definitely is funny. So that's the little update and we will see where this goes!!!

Adee

This is going to my daughter's middle name, after my sister Adrienne. It's not her birthday and mother's day already passed, but my sister is my best friend and I just feel like she deserves a post! I am 9 years younger than Adrienne but it feels like only 1 or 2. Ever since she moved to the bay area, we have become so much closer and thankfully now I live in Davis which is only about an hour and a half away! We can talk on the phone for hours talking about nothing or gossiping about our crazy family. Back when we were younger, we used to fight about anything and everything and I always felt so thankful that she wasn't my mom because she sure can punch hard! Now that she is a mother my view has changed and she is 2nd to my mom in amazing mothers. I am so thankful to be blessed with a sister who is more like my twin. We burp way more than most guys, we cry from laughing over nothing and LOVE to eat!!

Weekend in the Bay!

I was supposed to be better at blogging this summer but after my week in the bay, I got food poisoning which halted my posting! After working at a graduation luncheon my work put on, I drove to the Bay Area to be with my family! Adrienne had just had her tonsils removed so we were all helping with Mason and taking care of her. Her surgery went great and now she's on the mend! My parents were down for a few days and it was really good to see them. Even though I was finally with my family, it made me miss them even more. I haven't been to Humboldt since Christmas and I just miss little things about being around my family. Good thing my brother and sister are only an hour away!

Mason is the cutest kid ever! He had so much personality this trip and so far, 10 months has been the funnest age. He is scooting all over the place and actually took a few crawls! He saws mama and dada and loves to laugh. Steve taught him to put his arms in the air after we ask "how big is Mason?" He caught on quickly and now it's one of his favorite things to do! I love spending time with him and I can't wait till his birthday party in August!




About 10 of my friends who I dance with decided to meet up in San Francisco for the day and just shop around. I love San Francisco and it was nice to see the other parts rather than just where BART takes you. I rode all the way to Daly City (got on at the first stop and got off at the last stop!) and my friend Patrice picked me up. We ate lunch, ice cream and then shopped on Haight Street. I bought a new pair of shoes, originally for $75 and got them for $40! Thanks to my mom who always taught me to shop on sale!
